Message	I've just never done that, nor have I ever seen it done by any of my professors. I'll have to ask them sometime. Is it more of a requirement for stainless? When we use our $$$ orbital TIG welder, we don't fill the tube with argon/c02. Of course it is a precision robotic welder, perhaps it is accurate enough to not require inside sheilding. Either way...its for a go-kart, I would've saved 1/2 the money and bought a TIG welder instead.
